Experience the pinnacle of ceremonial matcha with our First Harvest Okumidori, sourced exclusively from Kagoshima, Japan. This single-origin, USDA Organic matcha delivers an intensely vibrant green hue and a luxuriously creamy, aromatic flavor that elevates your daily matcha ritual.

Crafted from finely stone-milled leaves of the Okumidori cultivar, this matcha is naturally rich in antioxidants, chlorophyll, and L-Theanine—the amino acid known to promote calm focus, reduce stress, and provide sustained energy without jitters or crashes.

Tasting Notes:

  • Freshly steamed, buttered greens

  • Floral and nuanced

  • Balanced, smooth, and velvety

Preparation Tips:

  • Traditional Matcha: Add ½ tsp matcha to 1–2 oz warm water (140–175°F). Whisk using a W (zig-zag) motion for 15–30 seconds. Top with an additional 4–6 oz warm water and enjoy.

  • Matcha Latte: Add ½ tsp matcha to 1–2 oz warm water (140–175°F) and whisk. Pour over 4–6 oz of your choice of milk, hot or iced, for a creamy, luxurious latte.

About the Okumidori Cultivar:
Okumidori (奥緑), meaning “deep green” or “late green,” is a late-maturing cultivar prized for its vibrant color and bright, balanced taste. Ideal for both usucha (thin matcha) and koicha (thick matcha), it’s perfect for everything from a traditional tea ceremony to a decadent matcha affogato.

Storage Tips:
Keep in a cool, dry place. Seal tightly and avoid exposure to air or sunlight to preserve flavor and vibrancy.
